We are looking for an additional person to join a small delivery and warehouse team within one of West Cumbria’s longest established businesses.
They sell and deliver everything from carpets, beds and wardrobes to sofas, chairs and cocktail cabinets.
Your job will involve:
- Driving a luton style van.
- Loading and unloading.
- Planning delivery routes.
- Delivering furniture to customers.
- Basic assembly of furniture.
- Keeping customer paperwork up to date.
- Customer service.
- Assisting in the warehouse.
You will be working 2 or 3 days per week with the option of extra hours when needed.
About you
Ideally, you will have worked as a Van Driver before and will have experience in a warehouse.
The ideal person for this job:
- A clean driving licence and experience of driving a large van.
- Polite and helpful.
- Can complete basic paperwork.
- Ability to load and deliver heavy items (with assistance of Drivers Mate)
- Able to work full-time (including Saturdays).
- Knows their way around West Cumbria.
- Can have a good crack with customers.
Pay and benefits
- Starting wage of £13.50 per hour.
- Permanent staff job.
- Two or three days per week.
- 28 days’ holiday per year (pro rata to hours you work)
